Welcome to my blog!

This blog tells my experience with buying a house in Dublin, Ireland, and renovating it.

I wanted to share everything I learned along the way, my misadventures and any tips and tricks!

Finglas - End of Terrace - 3 Bed / 1 Bath - €189,950

Type of Property: End of terrace house
Location: Finglas
Rooms: 3 Bedrooms and 1 Bathroom
Asking price: €189.950 no current offers
Age of the property: n/a
Floor area: 67 square meters
Public transportation: 1 bus line (40 minutes from my office)

NOTES: The house would need very little renovation, especially the kitchen and the upstairs bedrooms, which are very sunny and appear to be almost new!

However, the floor plan is a bit unusual: the ground floor is split in two, with the living room on the right and the kitchen on the left, while the three bedrooms are on the first floor... and here comes the unusual part: there is only one family bathroom, which is in an extension in the back of the house accessible through the kitchen.

Since I plan to rent one room to help pay off the mortgage, I can just imagine myself walking by the kitchen in my bathrobe after a shower, while my housemate eats dinner.

Considering the price of the house and the distance from the city center, this 'uniqueness' in the floor plan is not very appealing

Fun story: walking around the neighborhood, waiting for the viewing, one of the houses had a horse in the front garden. A live HORSE.
I was thinking of adopting a micro pig, so I'm not one to judge pet animals.. but a horse in the front yard left me a bit perplexed. Here's a photo to prove I didn't imagine it:
