NOTES: The disposition of the rooms in the house is pretty standard: living room on your left as soon as you walk in and kitchen at the back of the house, facing the rear garden. On the top floor two bedrooms with a family bathroom.
Considering the age of the house, all the rooms (walls, ceiling, floors, window frames etc) are all very well maintained, and it's highly possible that the current owners already partially renovated the house. Furthermore, the garden is very spacious and there is ample room for an extension (a sunroom would be a great addition, although it is true that I think that would be a great addition to any house).
The owners are trading up, and they might be willing to be flexible on the price (although they still haven't decided if any of the furniture will be included in the price).
Negative aspects? The living room is a bit claustrophobic and the black period fireplace doesn't help the funeral-house-like decor. Furthermore, the chimneys are blocked and we'd need to check them and unblock them.
Also, there is only one bathroom and it would be difficult to cut a second out on the first floor. If we decide to build an extension we might be able to add a second one that way, but that would be possible some time in the future.
Lastly, the house is very close to the street intersection and the bus routes pass in front of it.
While I didn't fall in love at first sight with this house, I'll keep it in mind.
