Welcome to my blog!

This blog tells my experience with buying a house in Dublin, Ireland, and renovating it.

I wanted to share everything I learned along the way, my misadventures and any tips and tricks!

Crumlin - End of Terrace House - 2 bed / 1 bath - €220,000

Type of Property: Mid-terrace house
Location: Crumlin
Rooms: 2 Bedrooms and 1 Bathroom
Asking price: €230.000, with a current offer of €220.000 (if there are no new offers the property will go Sale Agreed on Monday 08/06)
Age of the property: 60-70 years (It was built in the 1940-50s)
Floor area: 72 square meters
Public transportation: 2 bus lines

NOTES: This house is a bit bigger than the surrounding terraced houses thanks to the slightly different design (which is certainly nicer). While yellow is not my colour, that can be easily solved.

The disposition of the rooms is quite standard (living room and kitchen on the ground floor, and 2 bedrooms with a family bathroom on the first floor), with only a small extension, for a laundry room in the back, as the difference. The kitchen is also quite large: it includes also the dining area and a couch (although, why would they need a couch in the kitchen?).

Additionally, the master bedroom with a big window 'alcove' is quite nice, I can just imagine myself curled in a comfy bean bag in front of it, reading a book.

All in all, considering that is was built 60 years ago, the house would need very little work, however, as I haven't fallen madly in love with it and the time to make a decision is so short (1 day!), I doubt we’ll make an offer.
